Hey y’all, I’m Tori!
If you’re new here (or just haven’t seen me in a while), I’m a nail tech, instructor, wife, new mom (eek!), and one of the faces behind Tors Nail Nook. I’m creative, detail-obsessed, and definitely the type of person who will spend way too long making sure the tiny details look just right.
Outside of nails, I love Dr Pepper, being outdoors, cozy spaces, and spending time with my little family. I’m happiest when life feels simple, creative, and full of the people I love.
Behind the desk, I want my clients to feel comfortable, cared for, and never rushed. I love creating nails that feel personal to each person — whether that means something clean and simple, detailed nail art, or a set that feels completely custom.
I also love teaching and helping other nail techs grow. Since I didn’t always feel naturally talented at nails, I know how much practice, patience, and support can matter. That’s a big part of why education has become such an important piece of what I do.
At the heart of it all, I want Tors Nail Nook to feel warm, creative, detailed, and welcoming — a place where clients can feel confident and nail techs can feel supported
Meet Tori
My Story
Nails started as a creative outlet for me — almost like a little zen thing. I never imagined it would become my career. I even remember walking past a salon with my mom and saying, “I could never do nails. That takes way more patience, talent, and skill than I’ll ever have.”
A few years later, I was working in a medical office and feeling stuck. I knew I wanted to move forward, but I had no idea what direction to go. So, on a random whim, I decided to go to nail school — and it ended up being one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I graduated in 2022, worked in a salon learning so much, and then with a loving push from my husband Clark became licensed to instruct nails in 2024, which lead to renting my own suite and starting to teach students. I always knew I wanted to teach and mentor others, but it was really because of Clark that I got started, he gave me the push I needed and has cheered me on the whole way. He is the other face behind the Tors Nail Nook most people don’t see.
I loved the independence and flexibility of suite rental, but I also missed the community, support, and energy of a salon. That’s why Clark, and I started The Nail Nook.
We wanted to create a space that brings together the best of both worlds: private booth freedom and salon-level support.
After years of learning what works, what doesn’t, and what I wish I knew when I first started, I’ve found so much joy in helping new techs feel more confident, prepared, and supported as they build their own careers.
Meet Clark
Hey! Im Clark,
I grew up in Texas surrounded by a lot of family entrepreneurs, business was always something that interested me. I’ve always had dreams of owning a business and building something of my own.
For a while, I thought that path might be dentistry. But the more I learned, worked, and talked with people around me, the more I realized my brain was wired more for business development, strategy, numbers, and analysis.
Now, with The Nail Nook, I get to use that side of myself in a way that supports both our family and the vision Tori and I are building together.
I help run the business side of The Nail Nook — the planning, numbers, systems, marketing, and long-term growth — so Tori can focus on what she does best: nails, education, and creating a space that artists and clients love being in.
I’m currently finishing my business degree at UVU and feel grateful to be part of turning The Nail Nook from an idea into something real, organized, and built to last.
